et tu, brutus?

I can already tell that a month of posts about letters is a bad idea, and yet I trudge on.  Today was my first Typography class.  We'll be learning about classical typefaces and fonts for the first few classes and we had an in class exercise about spacing (involving scissors, glue sticks and pages of printed letters - somehow I feel that if lawyering involved a bit more glue stick usage in daily life, I'd enjoy it more) that utilized Trajan typeface (see Q, page left).  Generally Trajan is pretty tame, classical all caps sort of typeface, but the folks who developed it centuries ago went a bit crazy with the tail on the Q, so I immediately KNEW that I needed to make a word that included a Q.  I chose Quirky.  I like Quirky.  But maybe you already knew that.

That is all I have for you today.  I'm participating in a panel CLE program tomorrow at lunchtime and I must practice my part a few more times and then get some sleep.  Ugh, I hate public speaking.  At least when it involves the UCC.  Now if the presentation were about the usefulness of glue sticks...

If I had postulated with respect to the letter you picked for the day perusing only the paragraph I picked (preceding this one), I would have posited "P."
